School Anniversary Projects
Pavers: To honour our 50th Anniversary, we would like to establish a Commemorative Pavement in the front of our new restaurant in the secondary area. To help fund this major works project, the school is selling engraved commemorative pavers. By participating your name will become a permanent part of the school’s environment and you will celebrate and remember your family’s time as members of our school community. See the attached Commemorative Paver Project Explanation and Order Form.
Memory Booklet: The Taroom P-10 State School community will be remembering our shared history as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. To honour this milestone we will be publishing a special commemorative book of “Memories and Memoirs”. Our aim is to compile a book containing your recollections and memories of the school and we invite all past students and staff of our secondary school to share their personal remembrances of their time at Taroom Secondary Department and share their unique stories of the changes that have helped shape our school over the past 50 years.
To have your recollections included in our book simply write your memories, in no more than 400 words, and forward them to the school. To enable the publication of, “Memories and Memoirs” for the 50th celebrations, we ask that all memories be at the school by 1st August, to guarantee publication by September. Your memories can be typed or handwritten, and we will make the changes necessary to format this special and unique book to celebrate and remember your time as a member of our school community.
